Handy little set for the price, sponge is OK. Soap is INCREDIBLE.
"SPONGE: Dry, DB's is a bit bigger and rounder and a good 1/3-1/2 denser than Beauty Blender. Much closer in size when wet but still a big density differential and DB's holds a lot more water which is usual for a denser sponge, you need to thoroughly towel dry that else it will re-lift thinner foundations. USE CASE: I prefer my BB over DB's for liquid foundation any day but I'm spoilt. This does a decent job though. Good for travel/keeping it clean for a decent price. The surprise win here was damp powder foundation application. Not something I do 'cos my sponges are too soft/porous. This is so smooth when damp (but not too wet) that I got Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent to look airbrushed medium-to-full coverage. LOL! CLEANSING: Mat is similar, just bigger and more gentle which is good 'cos BB's rips my sponges. UPDATE: GET THE SOAP. GET IT NOW. NOW. I'm literally buying another just for that soap. Couldn't get Huda or powder out w/my Eco Tools, this got it out of DB sponge even without the mat in a flash. If you look at my earlier pictures you'll see dark stains on the bottom right and top left of my Beauty Blender (oh it's worse on the back, trust me). . . GONE. Gone, even without the mat, just fingers. Old ELDW and Dior stains are gone that BB's soap couldn't clean. Thrilled."
